A notorious Seattle strip club is drawing the ire of neighbors again.
KING 5 reports a new electronic billboard for Dreamgirls at Rick’s located at 115th and Lake City Way went up over the weekend, and some neighbors say it goes way too far.
“I just looked at that and said there’s no way they were able to put that up,” Dan Dillon, a man who lives across the street tells KING 5. “This neighborhood has been trying to get a little better reputation. We actually have a Starbucks now. But it’s still kind of sliding downhill with something like that.”
The sign rotates images and videos, including scantily clad women dancing suggestively.
But KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson wonders if the neighbors are overreacting.
“I love the people of Lake City, but I don’t know if the neighborhood’s really doing a great job of cleaning itself up,” he says. “There are real problems in Lake City, there are some crime and gang problems they just have not gotten their arms around.”
