All he wanted to do was find out why Verizon was still charging him for a service he no longer uses, but KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson says the answer hasn’t come.
On Tuesday afternoon, Dori’s producer, Jake, sent an interview request to Verizon, asking if someone would come on the show to explain the poor customer service he experienced.
So far, the only response has been this: “Hi Jake, I’m sorry to hear about the problem … can you please provide the main cell phone number for Dori’s account? This will enable me to help resolve the issue–and most likely; eliminate the disputed charge.”
And: “The charge has been reversed and we apologize. It’s our mistake.”
But it’s not about the actual $48 charge, Dori says. He’s upset that a customer who pays $4,000 a year to Verizon gets poor person-to-person service.
It all stems from a conversation Dori had with a customer service representative on Monday. He spent about 30 minutes on the phone with the “Chasidy,” who was unable to reverse the charge.
“I had an incredibly frustrating experience,” Dori said. “[The representative said] it’s a legitimate charge.”
The Verizon’s vice president of communications did call Dori on Wednesday. Dori invited him to come on the show Thursday.
