The free market is telling and in this case, it was telling John Curley more people are interested in Percy Harvin than Doug Baldwin.
How does he know? Two signed Super Bowl footballs went up for auction at John’s charity auction event over the weekend. One ball was signed by recently-dumped Percy Harvin and the other by Doug Baldwin, who’s still very much with the Seahawks.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll leave it up to you,” John said. “High bidder gets their choice. Ready to go? Here we go.
And John worked his auction magic.
“I said sir, ‘$800, your choice: Doug Baldwin or Percy Harvin?'”
“That’s a fantastic dilemma because Percy Harvin’s signature on a Super Bowl ball is going to be rarer than rare,” said co-host Tom Tangney.
The winner chose the Harvin ball for $800 and the crowed booed. Baldwin’s signed ball fetched $200.
