Seattle volunteers aim to bring awareness, treatment to excruciating Sickle Cell diseases

Imagine getting overcome by pain so severe - seemingly out of nowhere - that you can barely move. And then you're essentially crippled. That's just one of the symptoms of Sickle Cell disease. It's a blood disorder that affects hundreds of thousands of Americans, but doesn't get nearly the attention of other diseases. And the dedicated volunteers of the Metropolitan Seattle Sickle Cell Task Force are working tireless to change that, and help find a cure.
