Seattle City Council votes on breastfeeding bill

Council member Bruce Harrell promotes the bill before the council by suggesting that it is not only a racial, socioeconomic, and cultural issue but also a fiscal issue claiming that exclusive breastfeeding could save the nation billions in healthcare bills. He claims "many women do not feel as empowered to push back against those who frown upon breastfeeding." The bill passed nine to zero.
